Be a Champion

Be a Champion

1 Samuel 17:20-25
“And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle. 21: For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army. 22: And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren. 23: And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them. 24: And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid. 25: And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

The appearance of a champion in a family brings deliverance to his family and to his generation.
They will be free from poverty, free from bondage, free from reproach and affliction.

The difference between the poor and the rich is information.
What makes a man to become rich is not the number of hours he spends at work but the information he has, the revelation he receives and the knowledge he acquires.

God will favor you this year with the information you need to become a champion in Jesus’ Name.

David was at the right place at the right time and he received the information that changed his life forever.
When he heard that the champion of the Philistines was challenging the army of Israel, the spirit of God inside him made him to ask who that uncircumcised Philistine defying the army of the living God was.

God raised a champion that day to deliver Israel.
When God raises you up to become the champion of your family you will face the champion that Satan has raised in that family.
When Jesus came and his birth was announced that the king was born, Herod rose to kill the mew born king.
Every champion raised by God cannot fulfill the role of the champion unless he confronts and defeat the reigning satanic champion.

The brothers of David attacked him.
When he went to the king, the king asked whose son he was and if he has fought war before.
But when the champion that God has raised appears, you will not hear the voice of the champion of Satan again.

After the battle, nobody heard the voice of the champion of the Philistines.
The news went to town and everyone was rejoicing.
If David did not appear at the battle field, he would not have become a champion.
He appeared at the place he would become a champion.

Psalms 27:3-7 says,
“Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. 5: For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6: And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.”

Champions cannot be terrified.
When you carry the oil of champion you cannot be a fearful person.
We are all created to be champions.
We are not to live the life of fear.
The Bible says for God have not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Champions are not afraid because of the information they have.
David knows that all he needed was to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of his life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
All other things do not matter.

When you receive divine information you will always be at the right place at the right time.
If you don’t know who you are and you have not received the information that will change your life you will take steps that will prevent you from becoming a champion.
When you take the wrong steps your oil of champion will dry.
